Moulded case circuit breakers are a bigger alternative to MCBs (Miniature Circuit Breakers) which are more compact and only available in current ratings up to 63 amps. MCCBs are available in current ratings up to 1250 amps and even higher with different brands. Because MCCBs are bigger they don't fit inside consumer units or 3 phase TPN distribution boards, they're either mounted inside a steel enclosure or a dedicated MCCB panel board.

An MCCB panel board is like a larger distribution board. It will have an incoming device and MCCBs as the outgoing devices which distribute power to the circuits. Panel boards are available on request.
