The first digit is for dust and the second digit is for moisture.
An IP65 rating offers a high resistance to moisture and is popular rating for outdoor lighting and electrical enclosures.
IP65 is usually specified for bathroom downlights but according to the Building Regulations, IP44 provides adequate protection for zones 1 & 2.

Product Questions & Answers
Are these bi directional? If not what would be the the outcome when fitting a solar pv system with one.
Thanks steveQuestion by: steven on 29 Feb 2024, 19:58I've checked with Elucian technical department about this:
Our range of 2 pole RCBO’s, RCD’s and MCB’s are Bidirectional.
(CU2RCBO**, CU2RCD** and CU1MCB**)
Our RCD’s, 2 pole RCBO’s, and MCB’s only show a Live side and a Neutral side connection. These bidirectional devices mitigate any potential safety issues for power supplies connected to either set of terminals.
A Unidirectional RCBO (CU1RCBO** and CU1AFDD** devices) can have their RCD function rendered permanently inoperable when connected incorrectly e.g., if, under certain conditions, there is a voltage present on their load terminals. The damaged RCBO could remain in use without indication that its RCD protective function no longer operates.Answer by: Chris Horridge (Admin) on 1 Mar 2024, 09:12 -
