Features
A selection of colour changing LED strip tapes that includes RGB (Red, Green & Blue) which uses the primary colours to produce colour changing lighting effects. As well as the more advanced RGBW (Red, Green, Blue & White) which also includes a dedicated white 4000K light, while RGBWW has a dedicated warm white 3000K.
Or the RGB+CCT strip which features colour changing and colour temperature adjustable capabilities in 1. This strip has all of the colour changing effects as well as a wide colour temperature range of 2400K to 6500K.
LED drivers are available here - you only need non dimmable drivers with colour changing LED strips as the dimming is done using a separate controller such as the Gledopto series.
Available to order per cut point, or per metre, our colour changing LED strip tape can also be ordered in made to measure lengths for your project. We can include soldered input and output cables or plug-in pins for bends and corners. This way no wastage is necessary and valuable time can be saved during installations. Whatever you need, we can arrange it all, just contact us at: [email protected] with your vision and we'll transform it into a reality including any LED drivers and controllers you require.

Which Colour Changing LED Tape?
Colour changing LED tape provides you with a multitude of choices, allowing you to switch between any colour you like or set fading colour functions for background lighting. One of the downsides of the traditional RGB LED tape is that is doesn't have a true white colour. When you switch to white, it produces more of 'off-white shade' with a really high kelvin rating of around 7000K. This makes it difficult to use for task lighting as you can't differentiate between the colours of the objects your illuminating.
The more advanced RGB+W and RGB+WW combine colour changing LED tape with a dedicated cool or warm white all in neat one LED tape. You have the choice of selecting a static colour, or you mix any of the colours just like RGB. You can select the cool or warm white colour temperature when you're performing a task like chopping ingredients for example. It gives you the best of both worlds. With the added white, you can combine the colour changing effects to create some really amazing orange and pink shades that traditional RGB can't do.
The RGB+CCT version features colour changing with colour temperature adjustability in one. You have the colour changing effects as well as a variable colour temperature range of 2400K - 6500K (ultra wam white to daylight)
Which LED Driver?
- The voltage of the LED tape must match the LED driver. If the LED tape is 24V, the LED driver must be 24V.
- The size or wattage rating of the LED driver must be big enough to carry the full load of the LED tape. You can run multiple LED tapes from one big driver or separate your runs. Example: 4M of 14.4W RGB LED tape = 57.6W, so a 60W LED driver would be ideal.
- Colour changing LED tape require a non dimmable driver as the dimming is done by the controller along with the colour changing effects.
- If in doubt please contact us, if you email your requirements to us we'll get back to you quickly and answer any other questions you have. Ordering LED tape can seem complicated depending on your project. If you've got multiple runs and want to operate them from the same controller, we can advise you on the best components to use.
Which Controller?
We have basic controllers from IR (Infra-Red) to RF (Radio-Frequency), Wi-Fi and ZigBee versions. If you've got an existing smartphone App such as the Philips Hue or Tuya we have receivers available that allow you to add LED tape to your existing system.
We also have controllers available for single zone and multiple zone use. Whatever your application is, we've got you covered.
Cable Connections
RGB LED tape comes with a 4 core cable with a 4 pin female connector on each end. This can be snipped off to leave you with bare wires or used with a plug-in style controller.
RGB+W and RGB+WW has 5 bare wires and 6 wires for RGB+CCT. Each with a length of 150mm on the input side. If you would like soldered input tails or output connections we can offer a bespoke soldering service and charge £3 +VAT per solder.
We also have a range of solder-less connectors called Hippo connectors with 4 pin versions available for use with RGB including IP20 and IP65.
IP Ratings
We offer 3 different IP (Ingress Protection) ratings which offer different resistances to dust and water. Ranging from IP20 which has no water resistance to IP68 LED tape which is fully water and dust resistant, generally used for external lighting projects. The most popular version is IP20 as it offers adequate protection for the majority of applications and costs less. Some users prefer the IP65 rated version regardless of water risk. Its coated with a silicone glue that provides a sturdier design than IP20.

Specifications & Dimensions
Specifications Beam Angle SpecificationsA narrow beam angle of 25 degrees will provide a more focused and intense light. Ideal for illuminating specific objects like picture frames on a track lighting system.
A medium beam angle of 40 degrees will provide an even spread of light with a decent intensity. Ideal for smaller rooms like bathrooms.
A wider 60 degree beam can allow you to space downlights further apart, especially when you've got brighter LEDs. Wider downlight distances = fewer downlights which saves money especially in larger rooms like lounges.
120 Degrees Brand LED Strip Fit CRI SpecificationsCRI stands for Colour Rendering Index. It is a measurement of how well a light source renders the true colour of an object compared to natural light.
Rated out of 100, with daylight scoring a perfect 100. A light with 90 CRI and above is classed as being high CRI, while 80 CRI is the standard rating for LED lighting.
90 Ra Cap Type Integrated LED Colour Temperature SpecificationsThe main 3 colour temperatures of LED lighting include:2700K - Extra warm whiteLike a halogen or incandescent, it has a warmer tone of light and offers a homely appearance. Ideal for living rooms. Some people find this 'too orangey'.3000K - Warm whiteA mid range white, colour tone. Not as orange as 2700K and not as harsh as 4000K. This is the most popular colour temperature.4000K - Cool white (AKA neutral white)Clearer, whiter and slightly brighter than the others. It can make a room feel cold and clinical. Used in the right environment it can make a room appear more modern. This is popular in bathrooms with white walls and is the go-to colour temperature choice for offices and supermarkets.Dimensions Located Below Specifications Table Dimmable SpecificationsDimmable refers to the ability to adjust a light's brightness to create the desired ambiance or save energy. Some LEDs lamps and downlights aren't dimmable. Dimmable LEDs require an LED compatible dimmer switch.

LEDs Per Metre
The more LEDs you have per metre produces a more seamless, dot-free lighting effect. The COB (Chip On-Board) LED tape has 480 LEDs per metre which is seamless like a flourescent tube while older 30 & 60 LEDs per metre versions have wider gaps between each LED chip.
Wattage
A higher wattage strip doesn't always = brighter light. The accurate way of judging LEDs on brightness is with their lumens. Our 4W LED tape is highly energy efficient and brighter than our older 7.2W version.
IP Ratings
IP20 offers no resistance to water but is fine for use in kitchen cabinets.
IP65 is water and dust resistant. It has a silicone glue coating that shields it from splashes and dust.
IP68 is fully water and dust resistant, suitable for outdoor use or submersing in water.
Voltage
12V strips have shorter cut points than 24V allowing for a more accurate measurement. But 24V strips are better for longer runs over 5M.
In general the 480 LEDs per metre COB tape, with an IP20 rating is ideal for the majority of applications.
