Features
LED Strip Fit is our own brand of self adhesive LED tape. It is available to order per metre or in bespoke lengths that can be cut and soldered specially for your lighting project.
LED tape provides you with an abundance of lighting options including varying brightness's, with different quantities and LED chip types per metre. This allows you to create your own lighting designs and has become the go-to option for kitchen lighting. As it can be cut down to the cut points of 50-100mm (this varies per version), you can fit made to measures lengths per kitchen cabinet, leaving no gaps or dark spots - providing a completely illuminated and spot free surface.
With a 24V DC input, LED strip tape requires an additional LED driver (or LED power supply). This is used to convert the mains 230V input voltage into the required 24V DC constant voltage output. We have non dimmable and mains dimmable versions available from stock in a wide selection of wattage types. The wattage type, or size of the LED driver is determined by the length or lengths of LED tape that you're connecting to each driver. For example 1 metre of our popular 15W per metre COB LED tape would require a 20W LED driver. The total wattage of the LED tape must not be more than the wattage of the LED driver.
Available in various colour temperatures ranging from 2700K extra warm white to daylight 6000K, we also have a new sunset dimming strip that dims in colour temperature as well as brightness. Allowing you to create the perfect level of brightness and ambiance as and when it suits you.
Our most popular colour temperatures are available in different IP ratings. An IP rating identifies the level of water and dust resistant an electrical item has. The first digit is for dust and the second digit is for water. An IP20 rating is classed as touch proof, with no resistance to water, while an IP68 rating is dust proof and totally water resistant, even submersible, which is ideal for outdoors.
We have various light output types, with low, medium and high outputs that range in wattage and lumens per metre. For under cabinet use, the 480 LED 15W per metre version is ideal; offering a sufficiently bright output.
To dim LED tape, all you need is a mains dimmable LED driver and an LED compatible dimmer switch. Or for more advanced installations, dimming can be done from a home automation system or smartphone.
Our LED Strip Fit brand is a premium style of LED tape. It has a high CRI (Colour Rendering Index) as standard. With a CRI rating of 90Ra, it reproduces colours more effectively, closer to daylight conditions than economy LED tapes which have a CRI of 80Ra. Daylight conditions would be 100Ra, so the closer you get to this the better and more accurate it becomes. We use the very latest LED chip types which are Epistar branded to ensure the highest levels of colour consistency, efficiency and reliability are always our met.
With a 3 year guarantee and 50,000 hour life expectancy, our LED tape is highly reliable and built to last. Each LED strip comes with an input cable of 150mm as standard. We can provide longer input cables and a complete cutting and soldering service, please email your enquiries.

Specifications & Dimensions
Specifications Beam Angle SpecificationsA narrow beam angle of 25 degrees will provide a more focused and intense light. Ideal for illuminating specific objects like picture frames on a track lighting system.
A medium beam angle of 40 degrees will provide an even spread of light with a decent intensity. Ideal for smaller rooms like bathrooms.
A wider 60 degree beam can allow you to space downlights further apart, especially when you've got brighter LEDs. Wider downlight distances = fewer downlights which saves money especially in larger rooms like lounges.
120 Degrees Brand SpecificationsLED Strip Fit CRI SpecificationsCRI stands for Colour Rendering Index. It is a measurement of how well a light source renders the true colour of an object compared to natural light.
Rated out of 100, with daylight scoring a perfect 100. A light with 90 CRI and above is classed as being high CRI, while 80 CRI is the standard rating for LED lighting.
90 Ra Cap Type Integrated LED Colour Temperature SpecificationsThe main 3 colour temperatures of LED lighting include:2700K - Extra warm whiteLike a halogen or incandescent, it has a warmer tone of light and offers a homely appearance. Ideal for living rooms. Some people find this 'too orangey'.3000K - Warm whiteA mid range white, colour tone. Not as orange as 2700K and not as harsh as 4000K. This is the most popular colour temperature.4000K - Cool white (AKA neutral white)Clearer, whiter and slightly brighter than the others. It can make a room feel cold and clinical. Used in the right environment it can make a room appear more modern. This is popular in bathrooms with white walls and is the go-to colour temperature choice for offices and supermarkets.Dimensions Located Below Specifications Table Dimmable Yes IP Rating SpecificationsIP (International or Ingress Protection) defines a products level of resistance to dust and moisture. The first digit is for dust and the second digit is for moisture.
An IP65 rating offers a high resistance to moisture and is popular rating for outdoor lighting and electrical enclosures.
IP65 is usually specified for bathroom downlights but according to the Building Regulations, IP44 provides adequate protection for zones 1 & 2.
IP** LED Specification SpecificationsChoose the specification that suits your project.
LEDs Per Metre
The more LEDs you have per metre produces a more seamless, dot-free lighting effect. The COB (Chip On-Board) LED tape has 480 LEDs per metre which is seamless like a flourescent tube while older 30 & 60 LEDs per metre versions have wider gaps between each LED chip.
Wattage
A higher wattage strip doesn't always = brighter light. The accurate way of judging LEDs on brightness is with their lumens. Our 4W LED tape is highly energy efficient and brighter than our older 7.2W version.
IP Ratings
IP20 offers no resistance to water but is fine for use in kitchen cabinets.
IP65 is water and dust resistant. It has a silicone glue coating that shields it from splashes and dust.
IP68 is fully water and dust resistant, suitable for outdoor use or submersing in water.
Voltage
12V strips have shorter cut points than 24V allowing for a more accurate measurement. But 24V strips are better for longer runs over 5M.
In general the 480 LEDs per metre COB tape, with an IP20 rating is ideal for the majority of applications.

Life Expectancy 50,000 Hours Product Type SpecificationsLED Tape Sku LEDST24V* Voltage SpecificationsAC standards for alternating current and DC standards for direct current.
Mains voltage is 230V AC and has a tolerance of 10%, some products are 220V or 240V AC which means they can be classed as mains voltage.
DC voltages usually require an LED driver to convert the mains voltage AC into low voltage DC. Popular DC voltages are 12V or 24V DC.
