Cable Gland Types

If you need cable glands for armoured cable, we have the basic BW gland kits which are designed for internal use. Or the CW gland kits for external use. CW kits have an IP (Ingress Protection) rating of IP66, which means they’re water and dust resistant. Both types come in a kit that includes glands, shrouds, locknuts, and earth tags.

We offer various styles of SY cable glands that include basic nylon or brass nickel-plated in a dome top design which are IP68 rated. Our nylon dome top glands are supplied with a lock nut which makes ordering even easier. Or you can use the XT design which is a similar style to the armoured cable gland pack design. These are also supplied in a kit form that includes glands, shrouds, locknuts and earth tags.

One of the latest and most popular cable glands to enter the marketplace are the Storm glands from SWA (Specialist Wiring Accessories). These new universal types of cable gland can be used with armoured and non-armoured cable types which include SWA (Steal Wired Armoured) or control cables like CY, SY or YY.
