Zappi EV chargers work particularly well with solar panel installations. You can combine the Zappi charger with the Eddi energy diverter. The Eddi optimises your solar or wind generated energy, rather than exporting excess energy generation back to the grid were you get paid very little, which is what a standard solar system does, the Eddi diverts the power to make the best possible use of it. The extra power that is generated is diverted back to your own home and can be used in heating systems. This means you can heat water on 100% self generated, green energy.
While the Eddi provides additional functionality, the Zappi charger doesn't need it, or solar panels for it to operate.

General Zappi Q&A
Q) Which kW rating? 7kW single phase or 22kW three phase?
A) Single phase chargers can charge your EV at a maximum of 7kW. This is the most popular choice for homes and businesses where staff or customers charge their vehicles throughout the day.
Three phase chargers can charge your EV at a maximum of 22kW (vehicle permitting). They are more commonly used at businesses and commercial buildings. Modern homes with 3 phase supplies can benefit from faster charge rates.
Q) How do I calculate the charging times?
A) EV’s battery size (divided by) Kwh they are charging at (so 7kw or 22kw if the car allows it)
Q) Tethered or socket outlet?
A) A tethered charger comes with a cable directly attached to the unit which cannot be detached. The cable has a Type 2 plug which has become the worldwide industry standard and is suitable for all modern EV’s. (excluding a handful of early Type 1 models, hence if you have Type 1 you should choose the untethered unit)
Socket outlet (or untethered chargers) don't come with a cable attached, meaning you need to use a separate cable (or cord set) to charge your vehicle.
