Features
FuseBox A Type RCBO's (Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Overload Protection) provide residual and overload protection in one neat device. Available in current ratings that range from 6A to 50A.
FuseBox RCBOs have become increasingly popular due to their solid construction, attractive price and reliability. Highly rated by professional electricians with over 100 reviews, FuseBox has become the go-to brand for professionals who demand quality and affordability.
When fitted inside the FuseBox T2 surge protection consumer units, you can achieve comprehensive circuit protection at a very reasonable price. An RCBO board provides individually protected circuits with residual and overload protection.
Type A RCBOs are used to detect AC (Alternating Current) and pulsating DC (Direct Current) components. Also available in a miniature A and AC version with B and C type tripping curves here. While these particular FuseBox RCBOs aren't bi-directional they're launching a range in July 2024 which are designed for use with PV (Photovoltaic) projects.

C-type MCBs have a moderate curve, allowing slightly higher overcurrents for a longer duration, used in industrial settings. D-type MCBs have a shallow/delayed curve, withstanding significantly higher overcurrents for an extended period, ideal for equipment with high inrush currents like large motors.
Voltage SpecificationsAC standards for alternating current and DC standards for direct current.
Mains voltage is 230V AC and has a tolerance of 10%, some products are 220V or 240V AC which means they can be classed as mains voltage.
DC voltages usually require an LED driver to convert the mains voltage AC into low voltage DC. Popular DC voltages are 12V or 24V DC.

I have installed a few of these units and have had a couple of problems with the connection screw for the cable termination
What PZ is the terminal screw out of interest
Thanks GeoffQuestion by: Geoff Mullen on 23 Mar 2023, 11:37PZ2 for most screws, apart from smaller terminal screws (PZ1) on RCBO load and SPD terminals.Answer by: Chris Horridge (Admin) on 23 Mar 2023, 14:12Are these the same size as hagerQuestion by: Scott Grimsley on 8 Jun 2022, 12:36I've compared the size of FuseBox to these Hager RCBOs:
https://www.expertelectrical.co.uk/hager-rcbo-s-1-pole-30ma
FuseBox are 114mm high and Hager are 110mm for B Type and 115mm for C Type.
The depth and the width are the same.
The sizes are very similar, but not totally identical. Even the Hager B & C Types are identical though, so FuseBox falls in-between both sizes, so should fit inside a Hager board.Answer by: Chris Horridge (Admin) on 8 Jun 2022, 12:46Is the RTA breaker the same as the RTO because we need the same breaker for a fuse board but carnt find any with the RTO code on thanks only RTAQuestion by: Rob Endall on 6 Dec 2023, 12:44The RTO range are discontinued. These were type AC.
The RTA range is the latest range. These are Type A.
They'll fit and will be fine.
Type A RCBOs are used to detect AC (Alternating Current) and pulsating DC (Direct Current) components. Also available in a miniature A and AC version with B and C type tripping curves.
